Random List of Music – No Idea the Inspiration

music_list

On page two of a random notebook, I found this list of music that I apparently thought I needed. There is no set of clues of what inspired this list, or who Freedy Johnston is, but I will say that I recently bought the Bon Iver album a couple months ago. Which is embarrassing, because I’m sure I’m the last girl on the planet to have realized they existed.

If anyone has some insight on these musicians I would be grateful for the input. Who the hell is “One Ring Zero?”

I know, it would be easy to Google them, but I like personal opinion better. And I have better things to look up – like how to pick the lock on our bathroom door at work. True story. Nobody knows why it’s locked, and we assume nobody is inside, at least I hope not. It’s been over 24 hours and that would really be a terrible way to start the work week to find out the re-making of Saw was occurring in there.

I laughed out loud at “Who the hell is One Ring Zero?” And you’re right, personal opinion is so much better than Googling. This entry is brilliant.

I have not heard of Bon Iver. Now I am the last girl on the planet who knew they existed.

Charlotte Gainsbourg. Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin’s daughter. Beautiful voice, soulful lyrics. Bilingual English-French. I have both “5:55” and “IRM” with which she collaborated with Beck. Excellent stuff. I say go get it, or at least ask me to borrow the CDs (yes I still have those things).
